44 posts · Joined 2017. #19 · Feb 2, 2017. the no cams are great bows. the halon keeps that same smooth draw cycle but it spits the arrows out 20 fps faster (this is comparing them in real life i.e. your draw length, dw, arrow weight- not IBO test). The Halon is absolutely the best bow out there.
I also have a Creed and to me it has the roughest draw of all 4 bows. If I could only have one of these it would be between the Chill R and the HTR. I like the speed of the Chill best but the rock solid hold and aim of the HTR coupled with with the dead and silent shot , I would probably go with the HTR.This Mathews no cam 70/29 ST HTR. I consistently shoot it more accurately out to 60 yards than the Halon. The Halon has a better valley, IMO. Both are smooth through the draw cycle, but the Halon stacks quicker. The HTR draw is more consistent with no stacking. If I could only have one bow, it would be the HTR. Like. With the larger 1/4" axles an earlier model cam won't work without swapping limbs too. As mentioned above, chill cams may work but I can't remember if the chill had 3/16" or 1/4" axles (I think 3/16").
