I did 8g to 6 g in 2 increments. 8g (3.2mm), 3.6mm, 6g (4mm). 6g to 4 g was: 6g (4mm), 4.3mm, 4.6mm, 4g (5mm). 4g to 2g: 4g (5mm), 5.2mm, 5.4mm, 5.6mm, 5.8mm, 2g (6mm) The 4g to 2g was by far the most difficult. It helps to go slow and wait at least 24-36 hrs between steps.
